Valves and Seats

Valves have come from the same supplier for the last 10 years - these are the highest quality Indian valves available. Guides are made in-house from the correct grade of cast iron (GGG 60). These guides routinely last for 50.000 Km. It is important, to get this kind of mileage, that the pushrods and tieir guides are in good condition. The actíve surfaces of the cam followers must also contact the pushrods at right angles, or reground if not.

Valve seats are recut, or new seat inserts/rings fitted. For critical applications, like the inlet valve, a threaded insert is fitted to ensure it stays in place.
